Les DeShield: Music Producer, Songwriter, Composer, Pianist/Keyboardist He has been making music since the tender age of 8 and hasn’t stopped since. Throughout his life, music has been an integral part, as though they were one. Les began his music tutelage at the Maude Dennis Music Institute where his musical gift was encouraged, nurtured, and developed. As a teenager, he started writing and arranging songs for himself and individuals, as his passion dictated. As he served in the Military, Les’s musical journey continued. While stationed in Germany, he formed the band “Des Amis” which instantly shot to local fame and were affectionately called the “Good Will Ambassadors” because of their ability to foster lasting relationships between Americans and Germans through their music. Later, in Germany, Les formed another group, “The Bankers,” which was a collaborative effort for songwriting, music arrangement and music production. Their first collaborative effort included the songs “Why”, “Hurry Back”, “?” and “Pretty Girl.” After returning to the United States, Les continued to write and arrange songs but started focusing his musical abilities on working with Gospel Groups and Church Choirs due to the influence this music has had on his life, both personally and professionally. He has served in the capacity as Music Minister, Choir Director and Musician for several local churches. He continues to be a guest musician and clinician at music workshops. Les believes that music is a universal language capable of bridging all barriers as has been evident on his musical journey. Because of this belief, he set out on a path to produce music from all genres that would continue to foster this belief. Les has three aspects to describe his style of music which he describes as the three Ls – The Lord, Love and Life.
